Petra Marianowski is a highly virtuoso and energetic harpsichordist, specialized in the interpretation of the baroque harpsichord repertoire. Not only is she known for her passionate interest in the historically informed performance and the art of playing basso continuo, but also for her extraordinary technical ease and brilliance.

 

She won the first price in the 13th international competition „Gianni Gambi“ in Pesaro / Italy in 2011. Earlier, in 2009, she was awarded a scholarship in the German Music-Competition, which is the most prestigious national competition for professional musicians in Germany. Ever since, Petra has been much in demand as a recitalist, continuo player and chamber musician, giving up to 100 concerts a year.

 

Both as a soloist and continuo player she performed continuously under the musical direction of François-Xavier Roth, Nicholas Collon, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Antoine Tamestit, Christophe Rousset, Manfred Honeck, Dan Ettinger and Konrad Junghaenel and with such outstanding German orchestras as the Guerzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Radio-Symphony-Orchestra Stuttgart, the State Opera Stuttgart as well as with specialized baroque ensembles as „il Gusto Barocco“ and the Orchestra of the Ludwigsburg Festival. She has performed for radio and television and given concerts in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa and South America

 

Between 2012 and 2016 Petra Marianowski was announced the artistic director of the Baroque Orchestra Reutlingen. During those years she also was lecturer for historically informed performance, harpsichord and basso continuo at the institute for wind instruments at the Stuttgart State University of Music (Germany).
